The Importance of Intervention
When K-12 students begin to fall behind in school, it’s hard for them to catch up on their studies, let alone stay up to speed. This is also commonly referred to as the snowball effect: when something starts small and builds upon itself, becoming larger and larger over time.
When students are struggling to meet benchmarks and typical homework, intervention is key to getting caught up to speed. With the help of technology, new companies are able to offer students differentiated and personalized intervention through tutoring.

One such method of tutoring is Data-Driven Instruction, which analyzes the areas in which students are struggling and then provides targeted instruction and intervention. While seeing information and then writing it down is important, actually putting new knowledge and skills into practice can be one of the best ways to improve learning.”

Students meet with tutors in small groups that are “tiered” by skill level, continuously reinforcing their education, helping them recall and integrate these lessons into state testing and classroom performance.
